Eureka: The "Sound" of Music!

I am not kidding.

My husband has never seen The Sound Of Music.

I made him watch it this weekend.

I am also not kidding when I tell you that only AFTER watching it (around midnight) did we discover that we have OUTSIDE surround sound speakers; speakers which PROJECT LOUDLY OUTSIDE.

We love Julie Andrews. Our neighbors hate us.

My mama made me watch that growin up and to this day I cant STAND this movie. But Mary Poppins I rather liked. I always thought she was pretty hot growin up but Dick Van Dike was a tool. I dunno, those were the days....

First he scratches the new wheels, then he disturbs the peace with "I am 18 going on 19"...your husband sounds like a total tool.

Hey now, that's "16, going on 17"! My mother also made me watch the Sound of Music growing up which was fine because it was a welcomed break from the Wizard of Oz. I dig on musicals. My boyfriend has never seen it so I've threatened to sing "Doe, a deer" to him until he sits down and learns about play clothes made of curtains.
All in all, it's probably better that you discovered the speakers on a nice family movie rather than well, something else more faux pas.

But it would have been waaaay more delicious and fun had it BEEN something more "faux pas."

However, it IS probably funnier that it WAS Sound of Music. I can, afterall, think of nothing more hilarious than "High on a Hill was a Lonely Goatherd" blaring throughout the neighborhood at 10:50pm.

P.S. - Toto, I NEVER thought I would live to see the day where Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins) and "tool" would be used in the same sentence!
